About the Event
Are you ready for one of the most exciting water polo festivals of the year? Neapolis University Pafos Beach Water Polo 2023 is just around the corner, and it's set to be an event you won't want to miss. Organized by I.E. Athletic Tourism (CYPRUS) LTD, the festival will take place on the 23rd-25th of June at the breathtaking location of Kato Pafos Municipal Baths in the beautiful island of Cyprus.
About I.E. Athletic Tourism (CYPRUS) LTD
I.E. Athletic Tourism (CYPRUS) LTD is a limited company established in July 2017 and specializes in providing sport-related services to individuals and sports teams. They organize training camps and tournaments/sport events for almost every sport, making them the perfect team to host Pafos Beach Water Polo.
Our Goal
The goal of Pafos Beach Water Polo is to enhance the role of Pafos in the development of water polo as a sport and as a form of tourism in Cyprus. It is a true sporting festival, especially for young athletes who come to play and have fun with their friends.
Categories and Participation
This year, the festival will feature the following categories: Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Open. Teams from all over Europe are expected to participate, with past attendees hailing from countries such as Czech Republic, the UK, Serbia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Egypt, and Malta.
Team Composition and Game Format
The teams are typically comprised of 5-7 athletes, and the winning team is the one that goes all the way from the group stages to the knock-out games and ultimately wins the final game. Group stage games are played on 2 sets of 5 goals, while knock-out games are played on 3 sets of 5 goals.
